How Appropriate (ISLAMICALLY) Is This Indecent Proposal ?

I hope the law pes so it will stop the insane practice of marrying young girls off to old men. It will force parents to actually be loving parents instead of selling their children and will stop dirty old men from being able to satisfy their peodphilic behavior legally. It's a shame though that it took an act of "embarrment" to stop this rather than the realization that these girls are victims who are robbed of their childhood. What really needs to change is the mindset that says this is appropriate.
