Why am i afraid of hats?

IDK I'm just scared of hats... everytime i see someone with a hat i just cant look at them i feel like its controlling their brain or something. One time a friend of mine put a hat on my head to tease me and i almost had a nervous breakdown because i thought my brain was about to be controlled, it was a red hat. what can i do to rid this phobia? sometimes i go to the thrift store and buy old hats and burn them in my fireplace but I cant do it forever someone give me some advice.. hats are taking over my life
