Can i sue for breach of confidentiality? ?

The current allegations against me currently are that in the nature of embezzlement; i have been accused of taking a gift card not rightfully mine, and taking money out of the register (i am being accused because it was my drawer, it was short and i did something suspicious looking i guess). I am also suspended from work until they decide what they are going to do with me. When they lost prevention of my store apprehended me, there where no people around at all. i explained my story and they ured me that no one else would know about this accept the people in the room and the higher up's. My brothers x girlfriend who used to work there several months ago, goes into the store and someone tells her every thing that i am being accused of without her even asking (not that it matters). my points are that : my brothers x should not of been able to find out at all point blank period, other co-workers should not of even found out about it (as far as im concerned they should of just thought i was sick), and last but not least i was promised confidentiality. so what should i do, should i sue, tell them they better not fire me or else or what? please help
